Mike is a senior vice president with
Visible Technologies, a leading provider of social media monitoring, analytics
and online customer outreach services.
Mike
manages social media and reputation management strategies for Visible’s growing
roster of global clients. His assignments have included work with Kraft Foods,
Vanguard Investments, FedEx, HP, Hormel, Thomson-Reuters, Panasonic and GM.
In
addition, Mike counsels many brands in the evolution of their social media
strategies from passive listen and measurement to active response and
engagement across multiple online communities and connecting with their most
influential customers.
His
work has helped Visible achieve a 300% revenue growth over the past 12 months.
Mike also is the author of the company’s popular VisInsights blog and can be
also found discussing social media on Twitter under his name.
An early pioneer of
interactive marketing and PR, Mike has been devising digital communications
programs for global brands for more than 10 years. Prior to joining Visible,
Mike led the interactive and new media divisions for Interpublic's two largest
PR agencies, Weber Shandwick and Golin Harris.
During his 10 years at Interpublic, Mike created and executed a variety of
award-winning campaigns that blended traditional and new media ideas that
produced outstanding business results for his clients, including The Walt
Disney Co., MasterCard, Eastman Kodak, Verizon, Hanes, and the world renowned
"got milk?" campaign.
Mike has also produced enormously successful live special events on the Web for
a number of brands and organizations, including the premiere of Disney Studios'
Pirates of the Caribbean; Disneyland’s 50th Anniversary; the premiere of
Mission Impossible II for Paramount Studios; GM's Pontiac Solstice; and global
business-to-business events for MasterCard, eFunds and the Chinese government.
PR Week named Mike as one of the industry’s “new leaders of new media” and also
previously nominated him as one of the top five professionals in the industry.
Mike's background includes 20 years of experience in brand building, corporate public relations, product marketing and publicity and journalism. Mike is a graduate of the University of Hartford.
